Squash
In the past Youthreach approached Navjyoti Delhi Police Foundation and Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT) to participate in the squash programme it had started. Five girls from Navjyoti and 10 boys from SBT who were keen on squash participated. The girls also participated in a championship held in Varna, Gymkhana and Siri Fort Sports Complex with some reaching the quarter-finals and semi-finals as well.
Our children made us proud when seven boys participated in the Delhi Junior Squash Tournament at the Gymkhana Club. Two of them reached the quarter-finals in under-15 and under-13 categories. One boy reached the semi finals in the under-9 category. Two boys in under-9 and under-11 won the tournament and are now ranked first in Delhi.

Soccer
Youthreach collaborated with the India Youth Soccer Association to start a soccer programme sponsored by Asahi India Glass Ltd. Sixty children from SBT, Butterflies and Karam Marg participated in the event. Children from SBT, who were coached by IYSA, won four straight games to win the Golden Trophy at Modern School, Humayun Road in New Delhi. One of the children scored 13 goals and was named player of the tournament. One of the boys also got admission to Bal Bharati School on the basis of his soccer coaching through the sports category.
