Chanana Welfare Foundation collaborated with Youthreach in April 2015 for mplementing various projects focusing on women empowerment, sanitation and hygiene.

Chanana Welfare Foundation is a registered social non-profit organisation which aims to reach out underprivileged women and children by helping them in the areas of education and hygiene.

In July 2015, a tailoring and embroidery centre was set up at Jhabreda, Roorkee with an objective of providing skills training and creating avenues of income generation for the women in the village. Currently 37 women have enrolled for the six month long certificate course. Further Youthreach on behalf of Chanana Welfare Foundation has identified two schools in the Roorkee area for repairing and addressing the shortcomings in infrastructure like run down doors, broken toilet sheets, damaged pits, plaster work and whitewash. Three toilets for boys, girls and the staff respectively will be renovated at each school.

Further five more toilets have been constructed at the educational centres run by Youthreach in Bawal, Haryana to provide better facilities and promoting healthy habits to the students and the village community members.
