DMI Finance Pvt. Ltd. collaborated with Youthreach in November 2023 to implement various projects focusing on the theme of Education and Skill Development as part of Youthreach’s community development project at Bawal (Haryana), Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh) and Patan (Gujarat).

1. Key Intervention Areas in Bawal, Haryana

A. Skill Development

(a) Digital Literacy Centre
In November 2023, DMI Finance Pvt. Ltd. collaborated with Youthreach to implement a Digital Literacy Programme. As digital literacy is important for establishing a presence in the contemporary world, it provides opportunities for rural youth in terms of education, financial inclusion, and employability. Lacking the ability to use digital technologies means that there are numerous things that simply can’t be done or accessed. Possessing digital literacy allows for improving the efficiency required in the job.

Keeping this in mind, at Holi Chota, Bawal (Haryana), the DMI’s Digital Literacy Programme is being implemented for the rural students and youth to prepare them for a new breed of the workplace by teaching them how to thrive and survive in this internet-dominated world, which is now as important as reading and writing. Enrolled students are being trained in a 4-month basic computer course which will be certified by NIIT. Upon completion of the 4-month course, NIIT conducts an assessment and gives certificates to the students.

2. Key Intervention Areas in Patan, Gujarat

A. Skill Development

(a) Beauty Parlor Training Centre
In September 2024, we initiated our new initiative Beauty Parlour Training Centre in Datarwada village, Gujarat with support from DMI Finance Pvt. Ltd. This is a four-month course which aims to provide training to local women regarding beauty skills to reduce household beauty expenses and enable them to explore entrepreneurial ventures in the beauty sector.

3. Key Intervention Areas in Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh

A. Education

(a) Remedial Education Centre
In September 2024, we have also initiated a Remedial Education Programme in Panjhera, Nalagarh, Himachal Pradesh wherein we provide tutorial support to students enrolled at government schools. This Centre aims to bridge the learning gaps and enhance academic performance of the students by providing targeted support and personalised instructions along with academic support.
